PolyDissolve™ S1 is a water dissolvable support material that’s compatible with PLA, TPU, PVB and Nylon filaments from our portfolio. It is specifically engineered to have a perfect interface with these materials, supporting them while printing while also displaying accelerated solubility in room temperature water after printing.
PolyDissolve™ S1 is a PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) material which dissolves in water. This main advantage makes it preferable solution to support when printing complex geometries, overhangs, internal cavities and complicated structures. It liberates you from support removal problems, and enables greater design freedom
So far, PolyDissolve™ S1 is compatible with PolyMax™ PLA, PolyLite™ PLA, PolyWood™, PolyFlex™ TPU95, PolySmooth™, PolyCast™, PolyMide™ CoPA.
Advantages of PolyDissolve™ S1
How long does it take for PolyDissolve™ S1 to dissolve?
It can take 6-12hours to fully dissolve depending on your setup.
You can speed up the process:
- By increasing the water temperature
- By changing the water regularly
- By adding a pump to make the water flowing
Printing and Drying Settings:
Printing Temperature: 215˚C - 225˚C
Bed Temperature: 25˚C - 60˚C
Printing Speed: 30mm/s - 40mm/s
Fan: ON
Direct Drive:
Retraction Distance: 1mm
Retraction Speed: 20mm/s
Indirect Drive:
Retraction Distance: 3mm
Retraction Speed: 40mm/s
Drying Settings: 80˚C for 12h
(Only if the material has absorbed moisture)
PolyDissolve™ S1 is very hygroscopic, please make sure to use a dry box.
